Can I import existing QR codes into QuiQR?
Can you import QR codes from another app?
At this time, QuiQR Codes doesn’t include an “Import” feature for bringing in QR codes created in another app (for example by uploading a QR image or pasting QR data into an import screen).
In QuiQR Codes, QR codes are created and managed from inside the app so they can appear in the QR Code Manager list and show up in your app stats (like Total Scans on the Dashboard).
What to do instead (recommended)
If you have a QR code from another app, the best approach is to recreate it in QuiQR Codes by matching what the old QR code does (its destination).
In your Shopify admin, go to Apps → QuiQR Codes.
From the Dashboard, select Create QR Code (top-right).
In the Action dropdown, choose the option that matches your existing QR code’s behavior (details below).
Select Save in the top-right of the page.
Choose the right Action (based on what your old QR code does)
Use Action → Custom Page, then paste the destination into Page URL (include https://).
Full walkthrough: QR code to a custom URL.
If your other app used a short link, you can paste that same short link into Page URL so the destination stays identical.
Create a new code and set Action to Product, then choose the item under Select Product (for example via Browse Products).
Create a new code and set Action to Collection, then pick the collection under Select Collection (using Change Collection).
Create a new code and set Action to Add to Cart, then choose the item under Select Product. If you want a discount applied, fill in Discount (Optional).
On the Edit QR Code screen you may see a reminder like “Only select one variant.” Choose a single variant to ensure the QR behaves consistently.
What you can bring over
The destination (URL, product, collection, add-to-cart behavior): you can recreate this by choosing the correct Action.
The look and feel (colors and shape): after creating the code, open it from Manage QR Codes and adjust Background colour, Foreground colour, and Code Shape on the Edit QR Code page. See Customise a QR Code.
What you can’t bring over
The original QR image file (PNG/SVG) from another app can’t be uploaded into QuiQR Codes to become a managed code.
Historical scan data from another app won’t appear in QuiQR Codes. The Total Scans stat on the Dashboard reflects scans tracked for codes created and managed in QuiQR Codes.
Download your recreated QR code
Go to Apps → QuiQR Codes → Manage QR Codes.
Click the code to open Edit QR Code. Use the right-hand Preview panel to choose Format (PNG or SVG), then click Download QR Code.
Full walkthrough: Download a QR code.
If you change design settings (like colours), always confirm the code still scans by checking the Preview and testing the printed version before distributing it widely.

It depends on the destination:
If your old QR code opened a URL and you paste the same URL into Page URL (using Custom Page), customers should land in the same place.
If your old QR code used a different add-to-cart method or discount behavior, match it using Action → Add to Cart and Discount (Optional).
All saved codes are listed in Apps → QuiQR Codes → Manage QR Codes in the QR Code Manager table. Click any row to open Edit QR Code.
