Will my QR code expire?
Do QR codes expire?
In QuiQR Codes, your QR code will not expire as long as it is marked as Active in Manage QR Codes and your store continues to have an active app plan.
An Active QR code stays available for use in the app unless you archive it or your app plan is no longer active.
How to check whether your QR code is active
You can confirm a code’s current status from the QR Code Manager.
In Shopify admin, go to Apps and open QuiQR Codes.
In the left-hand navigation under QuiQR Codes, select Manage QR Codes.
On the QR Code Manager page, find your code in the list and look at the Status column. If it shows Active, the QR code does not expire while your app plan remains active.
The same page also helps you identify the correct code by its Name, Action, and Last Updated details.
What happens if a code is archived?
If a QR code is set to Archived, it is not deleted immediately. Archived codes stay in the app for approximately 30 days before being deleted.
This 30-day period gives you time to recover a code if it was archived by mistake.
Where archived status appears
When a code has been archived, the Status column in Manage QR Codes shows Archived instead of Active. On the Dashboard, you may also see this reflected in the Archived Codes count.
Can I restore an archived QR code?
If the code is still within the approximately 30-day archived period, there is time for it to be re-instated after being archived in error.
Do not leave an important code archived for too long. After roughly 30 days, it may be deleted from the app.
Quick answer
Active: the QR code will not expire, as long as your app plan remains active.
Archived: the QR code remains in the app for about 30 days before deletion.
Archived by mistake: you have a limited window to have it re-instated before it is removed.
